Good morning school and community

We had a lovely Sunday afternoon working bee building on students’ efforts maintaining the schools National Tree Planting Day sites.

 The students who do Fitness Eco Club on Tuesday and Wednesday have been:

 ☆ identifying and tagging native species that were planted in 2025 and 2024;

☆ learing to identify weed species and weeding orund the planted native;

☆ we also delivered mulch to the weeded areas.

We had about eight neighbourhood participants and a few children who were very young but very strong in dragging buckets of weeds and emptying them.

So we did the equivalent about 16 hours of bushcare work but there was much socializing and identification going on as well as physical weeding. ❤️

So thank you for working with the Mount Gravatt Environment Group  to improve the health and well-being of your school students and grounds.

 Yours in healthy habitat and community for all time
